A trip to Nam Cat Tien National Park offers a rewarding experience for nature enthusiasts. Located 160 km from Ho Chi Minh City, this park boasts an impressive array of flora and fauna. With 600 plant varieties, 240 bird species, and 50 mammal species, including the endangered one-horned Javan rhinoceros, it’s a haven for biodiversity.

The journey from Ho Chi Minh City to the national park takes approximately four hours. Once you cross the river, you’ll embark on an exciting jungle walk, immersing yourself in the diverse wildlife of Nam Cat Tien.

DAY 1: HO CHI MINH CITY – NAM CAT TIEN (L,D)

Your day will begin with a hotel pickup at 8 am, marking the start of an exciting journey to Nam Cat Tien National Park. The approximately 4-hour drive will take you north to this remarkable park, established in 1998. It comprises two distinct areas, Nam Cat Tien and Cat Loc, connected by the Dong Nai River. Together, they encompass a sprawling 185,000 acres of evergreen rainforest, teeming with an incredible variety of flora and fauna.

Around noon, you’ll arrive at the park and be warmly greeted by the staff of Forest Floor Lodge. An electric car will transport you to the resort, where you’ll check in and enjoy a delightful lunch at the lodge’s river-facing restaurant, surrounded by the mesmerizing jungle.

At 2 pm, your knowledgeable guide will meet you at the reception area to commence a walking tour into the heart of the jungle. Embark on a captivating exploration, discovering the rich plant and animal life that thrives in this natural paradise. Following the guided tour, you’ll have some free time to further explore at your own pace, perhaps opting for a bike ride or simply indulging in relaxation.

DAY 2: NAM CAT TIEN  (B, L, D)

Have breakfast at the hotel

Rising early to the sounds of the forest, you will have breakfast before meeting your driver at 7:30. You will leave for a trip to Bau Sau or Crocodile Lake. The jeep takes you 20 minutes (10km) from the lodge to the trekking point, where you will start a 1 hour trek for about 5 km.
Bau Sau is a beautiful lake surrounded by the jungle and home to many crocodiles. You will board your boat and paddle around the lake for an hour. You’ll have the chance to see birds, crocodiles, wild lotus before heading back to lodge for lunch. At 2 pm you will commence your return journey to Ho Chi Minh City where you will arrive at 6 pm.

Notes: Due to the National Electric power has not covered the national park area yet so the Lodge/ guesthouse have to use Generator for running electric system, then there will be a limited time of using electric inside the Lodge/guesthouse. We do not guarantee the electric supply 24/7.

As the evening approaches, at 7 pm, an electric car will take you to the park’s central restaurant for a satisfying dinner. Afterward, brace yourself for an hour of extraordinary animal watching as you hop aboard a private jeep. Marvel at the nocturnal creatures that come to life under the moonlit sky. Finally, return to the lodge for an overnight stay, surrounded by the serene ambiance of the rainforest.

DAY 3: NAM CAT TIEN – HO CHI MINH   (B, L)

Embark on a meaningful journey to the Bear and Wild Cat Rescue Centre, a sanctuary dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating majestic creatures. Witness the dedicated staff’s unwavering efforts as they provide a safe haven, nursing bears and wild cats back to health. Experience the animals’ transformation, a step closer to their freedom. Reflect upon the profound impact of our visit, carrying a renewed sense of responsibility and appreciation for wildlife. As we bid farewell to this extraordinary sanctuary, our hearts are filled with gratitude for the compassionate work being done.

Our journey concludes as we drive back to the vibrant city of Ho Chi Minh, cherishing the memories and lessons learned from this truly remarkable experience.
